David Karel Director and Team Leader
Founder & Director | Employer Medicare Resources
About Me
Hi, I'm David Karel, and I serve as Founder and Director of the company. I created Employer Medicare Resources because many employees turning 65 are unsure how Medicare works with their employer health plan, and many HR departments do not always have the time or specialized Medicare experience to answer those questions in detail.
My role is to help simplify that process by working directly with employees to explain Medicare enrollment timing, how employer coverage and Medicare may coordinate, what questions to ask before making changes, and how to avoid common coverage gaps or late enrollment penalties. I help employees understand about the right coverage to choose, but how to use that coverage once it is in place.
We are all about helping your employees make sense of Medicare decisions before those decisions become urgent is a Key issue that we address ant Employee Medicare Resources.
At Employers Medicare Resources we provide practical Medicare education for employees approaching age 65, employees working past 65, and organizations that want a clearer way to support their workforce during the Medicare transition.
With more than 30 years of Medicare-focused experience and 10 + years of actual Medicare use, I am able to bring a calm, educational, and business-minded approach to a topic that can quickly become confusing. My work centers on helping employees understand how Medicare may coordinate with employer health coverage, when enrollment timing matters, how to avoid common penalty risks, and what questions to ask before making coverage changes.
For employers, Employer Medicare Resources serves as a dedicated Medicare education partner. Many HR departments are asked Medicare questions that fall outside the normal scope of employee benefits administration. I can help bridge that gap by giving employees a knowledgeable resource, clear next steps, and one-on-one guidance designed to reduce confusion and improve the employee experience.
My philosophy is simple: provide clear education, act with integrity, and help employers and employees make informed decisions with confidence. Through education, not pressure, he helps employees feel more comfortable with their options and better prepared to use their coverage effectively.
